Libertas gets from the EU budget 200 thousand. the euro for its recognition of a European political party. This decision took the Bureau of the European Parliament. Consisting of a chairman and vice-PE Bureau examined on Monday welcomed a proposal by Libertas to declare a European political party. Thus eurosceptyczny movement, which promises to campaign for elections before June europarlamentu under the slogan "No to the Treaty of Lisbon" won the right to grant 200 thousand. euros for 2009. In accordance with EU regulation in November 2003, such status in the EU gets pan-European party that is represented in at least one quarter of member states (or seven) by the members of the European Parliament or national or regional meetings. In addition, in its lot with the program or activity must comply with the principles on which the European Union, in particular, freedom, democracy, respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms and the rule of law.
Party must also take part in elections to Parliament or to express the intention to participate in the coming election.
Ganleyowi managed to gather a sufficient number of willing to work with the well-known members of eurosceptycznych views from seven countries (in addition to Ireland), France, Greece, Bulgaria, Finland, Estonia, and Polish. Libertas Head office in Poland was a former Member PAWŁOWIEC Daniel.
Declan Ganley on the Sygnałów - Polskie Radio "Single":
About the democratic reality in Europe
Wiesław Molak: In our studio, another guest: Declan Ganley, the man who convinced the Irish to reject the Treaty of Lisbon. Hello, welcome to Sygnałach.Declan Ganley: Good morning.
WM: Why and how do you do?
DG: The vast majority of Irish spoke against the treaty because it realized that it is bad for Ireland and for Europe as a whole. Irish arguing strongly for Europe, the Treaty of Lisbon gives Brussels into the hands of more than 60 key areas of sovereignty, creates the position of President of Europe niewybieralnego, subordinates the right of Ireland, Polish and other European countries the law of the sovereign. Furthermore, Article 48 of the Treaty of Lisbon provides that all records of the Treaty may be amended without asking about the sentence, the consent of people who have adopted him. Millions of French and Dutch no longer in favor of the treaty. This is not the prospect of Europe, this is not antyeuropejska perspective. Far from. Irish strongly in favor of the Union, but it is important to make sure that all the 480 million people who live in Europe, able to live in a democratic reality.
WM: We have a daily survey of the Irish Sunday Business Post that the growing support for the Treaty of Lisbon - 58% of respondents were in favor of this document. Jeżeliby came back to vote, the Treaty of Lisbon poparliby.
DG: That's very surprising results of the survey, because after adding the results would appear that we have 107%. A few months before the referendum in Ireland, the same polls said about 90% against. Very typical of the elites in Brussels is that it can sprokurować survey results, which sum up to 107%. Perhaps because 14 years from their auditors have not signed their accounts, because it could not settle.
WM: In Poland antyeuropejski a foothold. Why Poland?
DG: I want to emphasize very clearly that Libertas is far for Europe. A great deal of difference in our views with people who are against Europe, are eurosceptyczni. The reason why you want to open a branch in Poland Libertas is that this is a key state, it is a very important member of the European Union. In the coming elections in June Poles will have the opportunity to zagłosowania Libertas in a way that will express their pro-European attitudes, which would permit the introduction of Polish MEPs from the list of lots, which in principle is the only pan-European political party currently in Europe. Over the past hundred years in the history of Europe, Poles played a crucial role. If the entire European project is to succeed, and believe that this happens, the entire vital energy will be generated by us from people not from the elites in Brussels. In Europe that is democratic and responsible.
WM: And what part, the Polish part you count?
DG: At any. Libertas opens offices in 27 countries across Europe and throughout Europe podchodziło us a variety of different groups, offering us their cooperation. But above all we are the first pan-European political party in the history of Europe. Certainly we will cooperate with the policies of the Polish, has not yet been decided on this issue and many people talk, but wants to Libertas place oneself in the center. We're not either on the left nor the right, we are a central pan-European party. I'll also want to work with people who are not only the world of politics, but also the world of science, the world of law.
WM: How did you have all this money on? 27 European branches - it must cost a lot.
DG: It is really difficult task. Try to imitate what has happened during the presidential campaign in the United States President Obamy. Therefore, a few months ago was libertas.eu domain from which you can provide us with financial resources in support of Libertas and, of course, to each Member States have completely different laws, different rules. In the Polish case is that the money must be derived from the Polish. For example, in Germany it is not so limited. In France, in turn, the constraints are very large.
WM: you talked to cardinal Stanislaw Dziwisz. Do you gentlemen talking about politics?
DG: We talked about issues on which policy has an impact. But Cardinal Dziwisz, His Excellency, do not say more about the policy, does not seem to me that it was his role. For us in Ireland, for me personally, Cardinal Dziwisz is an extremely important figure, which is a lot of respect enormously. Also, for my wife, whose family comes from the Polish, from near Krakow. Therefore, a great honor for us was the opportunity to talk with the cardinal Dziwisz. We talked about issues on which policy has an impact on issues that affect the lives of every one of us. This is a wonderful man.
WM: His name is Mr. "Mr. No". You would prefer not to put to Mr "Yes Lord"?
DG: Absolutely. [laughs] Of course, I would like to resolve to put me in this way. I want so stated on these things to say, criticizing the Treaty of Lisbon. I need this to be so as to wybrzmiało our proposals, which they want to lead to a democratic Europe, which will help regenerate Europe, which will give it a chance for a new renaissance, the new renaissance. I also get the impression that people who speak loudly in favor of adopting the Treaty of Lisbon, most are people who do not przeczytały. And I encourage all listeners to this and he did, because Ireland is convinced that, if read like this treaty, it will no longer be alone know what to do.
WM: Declan Ganley, thank you very much for your time. Have a nice stay in Poland.
DG: Thank you very much.
WM: And help us in this conversation Małgorzata Wójcik.
